I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 34 years. We have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law.
I have been sewing since 9th grade. I use to make all my clothes and even sewed for my boys when they were young. My mother and maternal grandmother both sewed and quilted. I started quilting when my grandmother gave me a hand pieced top. So I jumped right in and started hand quilting the queen size top on a hoop. That was in 1999. I still haven't finished that top. Then life got in the way so all my hobbies got put on the back burner. I started back a couple of years ago. |

welcome from ardmore, ok. i have met some of you okies but it would be nice to have a 'sit and sew' with any of you who are interested. i have enough quilt scraps to make qayg string quilts for probably half the okla population. all you would need to bring are scraps of batting and whatever fabric you want to use for backing and sashing. also, grab any scraps you want to bring and we will do some trading. i think it would be fun. depending on the number interested, i would try to find a place big enough for us to set our machines up. just pm me. looking forward to hearing 'yays' or 'nays'. johnnye
