here is what you need to get started: 1.cutting mat: 12 x 18 is a good starting size. (it needs to be stored flat!) 2. Rotary cutter:45mm is what i started out with, still have it, and a few others. 3. O'lipfa Ruler With Lip Edge-18"X5" has a lip on the edge..helps with lining it up and keeping it steady. these are just my suggestions..others need to chime in and give thier suggestions! |
Welcome from East Texas. If you can do all of that then quilting will be a walk in the park.

Hi Avri, we are almost neighbors. I am in Sequim and just joined today. Do you ever go to SewFun at Quality Sewing in Silverdale? I go to the 10 a.m. session and would love to meet you if you ever attend.
If I can be of any help in getting you started with your quilting, please don't hesitate to contact me. |
Hello and welcome from Texas :-)

Unfortunately I do not have a reliable vehicle to get around. Otherwise I would love to check out the sewing thing in Silverdale. We will have to get together.

My name is Pat & I live out above Hood Canal. I can't believe I'm finding 2 people living so close to me. I'm actually in Ariz. right now (I'm a Snowbird) but will be returning home in a month. I'm so happy to find avid quilters at home. I'm sure you've both been to the quilt shop in Poulsbo. Great to meet you both. Pat G |
