I'm from Myakka City Fl. and I'm new to quilting. I just completed my first quilt (almost done) I need to put the backing , batting then do the quilting? Is that right?

Wow what a terrific welcome. Is there an easy way to add satin trim to my quilt? I tried once and had to remove it as it didn't lay right?
