Guten Tag, Veronika. Welcommen!
My grossmutter was from Frankfurt.....she came to the US when she was ten--and I have forgotten most of my German since she passed away! |
yes it's not easy with foreign languages, if you can not hear or train it. Writting with you helps me to learn more of your language. Sometimes I've problems with expressions (I'm not sure if it is the right word) Things s.o. said, but the words mean some other things :)

Welcome from Washington State. I am of German descent and would love to hear about your customs and traditions. When my ancestors came over, they didn't talk about the old country, so I only have a few things that I have to tie me to my heritage. |

Hallo liebe Veronika,
To all of you who doesn't understand german. I'm telling her that I was born and raised in germany too. Live here in America now for sixteen years. I'm also telling her how nice it is to hear from somebody at home. Veronika welcome to this site, lay back and enjoy! |
