I stumbled into this wonderful place (Quilting Board) from a link I spotted on Facebook yesterday. What a GEM of a website! I popped into chat last night and within minutes I felt like I had been chatting with this group of ladies for years. I've poured over your threads, and tutorials. Love those!
I have adult kids, and grand kids that make my world that much sweeter! Love to cook, beach comb, I grow African Violets (27 last count), some orchids, keep a few Betta fish on the counter as fun little companions. If I'm not sewing... my favorite evening is to just cuddle in with my hubby, the dog(s) and a good movie. I've been quilting for about 5 years now, and hubby is 100% supportive of it - which is a treat for me. No having to *sneak* more stash fabrics in the house. I love to take classes and learn all I can. I've never met a finer group of people then those who are quilt-a-holics! I just went back to work, so I hope I can spend enough time here to get to know everyone! ♥ |

Thanks Gramie bj... it really is pretty here! Our winters are LONG AND GREY, but as far as summer beauty.. it's off the charts. We have not broken 75° all summer. We have a micro-climate that keeps things cooled down nicely.

I'm overwhelmed at the greetings! Thank you all so much!
The two boxers in my photo were rescues. BEAUTIFUL girls someone had dumped at the pound because they were done using them for breeders. It BROKE MY HEART. So.. I rescued them, had them spayed, got them healthy/happy and sent them on to the WA boxer rescue where they found them both great homes. It was hard to house 4 boxers at once, but we managed...lol . |
