I just registered and am thrilled to be "official"! I have been reading your message boards for a few months now and have finally decided to join. Your accumulated knowledge is awe inspiring. I have been quilting for a couple of decades, but still feel I am just a beginner, as I am self taught. But in the last year I got brave and joined our local quilt guild! They are wonderful quilters -- over 500 of them!

I make a lot of quilts for charity/children: special needs for the local elementary school, CASA, Foster Care Kids, and local non-profits. I also make them for family and friends. I recently took an early retirement and am thrilled with the extra time I now have to quilt!

Hi LastGrandma,

Welcome to the board. You already know how much fun we can have here. Isn't this the best place to be? I have to admit tho, since I found this board I make a lot fewer quilts. Too much time on the computer, not enough sewing. Welcome again!

Hi from NE WA. I'm about 90 miles from Spokane, live out here in the mountains. nice in summer but can be more than interesting in the winter. I tell everyone if you can drive these highways in the winter time, you can drive anywhere. Your part of the state is beautiful. You will love the quilting board.
