I just registered and am thrilled to be "official"! I have been reading your message boards for a few months now and have finally decided to join. Your accumulated knowledge is awe inspiring. I have been quilting for a couple of decades, but still feel I am just a beginner, as I am self taught. But in the last year I got brave and joined our local quilt guild! They are wonderful quilters -- over 500 of them!
I make a lot of quilts for charity/children: special needs for the local elementary school, CASA, Foster Care Kids, and local non-profits. I also make them for family and friends. I recently took an early retirement and am thrilled with the extra time I now have to quilt! |
