I have been lurking and commenting and thought I had better introduce myself.
I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada but come to Texas for 3 months to get out of the minus 40 temperatures! I have been quilting for about 15 years. I hand pieced for the first 4 or 5 years and then finally bought a sewing machine. I always have some hand piecing on the go and about 3 or 4 machine projects. Thanks for all the wonderful tips, pictures and info. It is inspiring. Barb |

If any of you would come to Texas for the winter, and not know which town to stay, I can say that there is an RV park right next door to a LQS in Fredericksburg, TX. The LQS is Pocketful of Poseys at 311 Highway St. and the Fredericksburg RV is just a few steps away, depending on which side you park your RV. It is a very nice LQS and also has a nice big room for classes or sewing. Now how convenient is that?
Then, 18 miles away is Kerrville where there is a really awesome LQS called Creations! So you northern ladies that want to come south next year, keep it in mind. |
Hello from South Texas, not far from Padre Island.
