Hi! I have been looking around here for awhile. This is wonderful! I have been sewing and quilting for a long time. The lady who tought me to quilt grew up in a sheep wagon and used to collect the wool for the quilt batting off of the sagebrush etc. then card it, wash it, then use it! We have come along way from that! thank goodness!

Welcome, Molly2! I used to live in a house that overlooked the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo grounds from Dead Horse Hill and have a quilt store downtown there. I had to retire a couple of years ago due to ill health, so this welcome comes with love from the Tall Pines of rural Walker County, Texas. This is a great website if you get to reading people's entries about their quilts you're sure to meet a kindred spirit here and there!

Stay warm in the beautiful Equality State.

I read a book recently of someone that homesteaded Wyoming in the early 1900s. She wrote back to someone she left behind and said Wyoming has only three seasons - winter, July and August. I know that can be a fact.
