Awesome Welcome from everyone!
Thank you all for great tips...any particular size safety pins? Probably a silly question but what the heck, may as well ask. Do you all think the extra loft batting is ok to use...kinda wanted it comfy :) BTW, Chigger Holler, unbelievable as it seems to me, I typed in location and no one appears on board :( But again thank you everyone for your well wishes!!! |
Not sure what size they are.:) I believe they said they were quilters saftey pins, when I bought them but that's been years ago. They have a little bent in them so they aren't regular safety pins. I went ahead and measured them they were one inch long. :)

Hi Kathy, welcome from northern California! I can't be much help because I am too new to quilting, but I am sure many others will be able to guide you. Exciting news waiting for the new baby! Keep us posted.

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D
I agree with either taping the backing down so it is taut, but not stretched first. You can also pin it to your carpet instead of taping it down :D I use regular large safety pins, but you can buy ones made specially for quilting either online or at your LQS. |
Welcome from Mississippi! Congrats on new baby! Better hurry with that quilt! I haven't made a quilt yet so can't be of much help.
