Would love to see some of the fabrics from Germany also Welcome! a) I'm an absolute beginner, including wonky seams and verrrrry simple patterns b) mostly I'm using US fabric, which I just LOVE! Fortunately my LQS carries them, unfortunately they are quite pricey over here. It's app. 20$ up to 22$ per meter. Lately I found some great online shops, but not all of them ship internationally. Have to do some more research on this. Find a picture of my WIP, a Quilttop, which I just basted. Hopefully tomorrow I can start to (machine)quilt. Thanks for looking. |

nice to get more folks from overseas, kind of gives a whole different perspective on some things--it's great! welcome!

We use the featherbeds in the winter, but switch to quilts in the summer time. The quilts would wear out with so much washing, but are nice to snuggle in.

welcome from New England
I have a warm spot for Germany - it's where my Mom's people came from to the Port of New Orleans in the mid 1880s. |
Welcome to the board from the UK. It is the best board that I have found and has been a lifeline to me. Hope you feel the same.

Welcome from Montana! We have had 3 exchange students from Germany and we are looking forward to a trip there to see them. I taught one of the girls how to quilt and she made a quilt for her parents and placemats for her sister while she was here. Then I know she made a baby quilt after she went home. All 3 students were from the Cologne area. Your quilt looks great - and don't worry about wonky corners because I didn't see them!!! You are always your own worst critic and each quilt will get better!
