My name is Janet and I have been watching in the background and oohing and arhing over all the beautiful quilts all you clever ladies are making. I have been quilting for a couple of years and have become adicted to it. I belong to a great group of fun ladies and we meet most Wednesday afternoons for lessons and a giggle. My quilts are quite simple but I love doing them. I have lived in Western Australia after immigrating from England about 35 years ago and love it here. I haven't managed to put an avatar on yet but hope to one day when I have worked out how to do it. I'm in my 70's so am not very computer literate!

Hi Janet!
Welcome. Adding the avatar is really easy. Click on "My Profile" - it's one of the options listed at the top of the page. Scroll down and you'll see where you can add a signature if you wanted (this will show up at the bottom of every post you make). At the bottom of the page will be the avatar section. Click on "Browse." Find the picture file on your hard drive and select it. Click "Update Avatar" and you'll be all set. |

Welcome, girl, from the great state of TEXAS!!
My SIL was born & raised in Australia but guess what? He has been here in US for about 15 yrs & doesn't have in the least the accent. But he can do it when he wants. His bro & parents are living there now. He took my daughter here about 2 yrs ago for the 1st time, they're now in China with 5 wonderful GK & hopefully they can take the kids before they come back (pray it won't be too long, I've been around the kids all their lives, the 2 boys (14 & 12) were born in Tennessee, the 3 girls (10, 8, 6) here in Texas) to USA. I'm their only GP here in states, so I miss them so very much! My hubby died suddenly 9.5 yrs ago with the boys were 4 & 2, the oldest girl was 1. I've told people the hardest thing about my hubby going, was that he didn't get to enjoy these other GK. My son has adopted 2 of his 2nd cousins, so I have 2 other GD for 5 yrs, but I'm not as bonded as with the others. I get to Skype them quite often but its not the same as hugs & kisses. Happy sewing. This is a wonderful site that I spend way tooo much time on...  |
