I am a beginner who has made 2 Christmas tree skirts and have promised my granddaughter ( who just left for college) that I would make her a tee shirt quilt. I have begun adhering blocks to backing and believe I want to make them 12" blocks?I am thinking that strips the length of the quilt would be the best way to go. I will need to add fabric to bring the tee shirt blocks to 12 " . Can anyone give me some pointers on what to do next and is that the best/simplist way to begin> Thanks. Marcia

I think you are on the right track and have it under control. Usually the blocks are large and at least 12". Good luck. Look forward to seeing the quilt completed.
