Hi quilters! I have been lurking for some time now and love seeing your beautiful creations. Today I'm jumping in with both feet so I can join the challenge to spend 15 minutes a day quilting.

I live near Athens, GA, where the University of Georgia is located. We're about an hour and a half drive from Atlanta.

Welcome from Tucker, on the nearest side of Atlanta to you! If you get down this way, you MUST go to Intown Quilters (www.intownquilters.com); it's at the end of HWY 78 from you. Great LQS, bright colors everywhere! Do you have a good shop up there???

Welcome from South Florida. You will love this site.

TruPeach1, Athens is about an hour's drive from Gainesville. I actually grew up in Gainesville from the time I was about 10.

I'm about 2 or 2.5 hours from Carrollton. I lived there when I was 4 years old. (We moved around a bit:))

Thanks for the info about Intown Quilt Shop. I just saw something on the Quilting Board about that shop a few days ago. I looked it up online. It looks like it's not far from where my son lives in Decatur. I thought I would try to get by there when I go to visit him.

Kathcart 12-06-2010 10:27 AM

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I like seeing where you are all from. There are quilters from all over the place on this site.:) I love finding others from Georgia too.
