I have been quilting for about five years and enjoy it very much. I have a Janome built Kenmore sewing machine but find it awkward when making a large quilt. I want very much to purchase a Pfaff Grand Quilter 1200 but am unable to find a place on the internet where I can purchase one. Can anyone out there suggest a website that I can go to to purchase my dream machine?

Hello and welcome from Kansas! I hope your able to find your machine. It is wiser to buy from a shop near you, but if you can't then I would try SewVacDirect. SewVac helped me get my machines and were very ready to give me a great deal just for asking how they could help. But, again those are machines they don't usually sell over the internet. I could be wrong tho... Good luck with your search.

Hi and welcome from MA.

Welcome to the new folks! I just lost my "new user" status a few days ago. I know you'll enjoy this board, there is always a new post on something! I don't even go to other "quilt boards" anymore, they may have a new posting every few hours or so. And the people seem to be having conversations with each other, makes me feel like an intruder. But not on here, you can just jump on in! :)

WELCOME!!

I purchased my Pfaff GrandQuilter and Next Generation frame with stitch regulator for $1,500 on craigslist.com. I see them on there all the time in the Detroit, MI area. Prices range from $1,500 - $2,200 here.

Greetings from outside Sacramento CA. There is a yahoo group dedicated to the grandquilter. Go check them out - maybe someone has one for sale.
FYI - Juki has a machine that is practically the same and I believe it is generally less expensive than the Pfaff. Whichever on you get - you need to get a bottle of machine oil. They do like their oil! |
