Well it is a very long trip..the travel inbetween leaving and arriving can be exhausting...Hope he is in better form now though.[/quote]

Hi and welcome from sunny San Diego county, California. This is a great site for inspiration, sharing of ideas and information. Great swaps too!

OMG!! HI Ann Clare, great to see someone from Meath too! Hows it going? Everyone on here has been wonderful. I am only a rank beginner making quilts and the help and encouragement is amazing.
Can I ask where you buy your fabrics here or do you get them online as well?

Lois, I get my fabrics in Dublin. Hickey's and the Woolen Mills. Have got some while at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham UK and The Knitting and Stitching Show in the RDS in Dublin. Have never purchased online. Happy Quilting.

yes there are heaps of B & B's around and I think they are nicer - you get to meet the families-its more personal I think!

Thanks Anne Clare..We just have a small Hickeys down here in Wexford..Dublin is nearly 2 hours away but would be worth the trip I think! have to admit I've done most of my recent purchasing online-but there is nothing like seeing the fabrics first hand though. Thanks for the links to the two shops
