Greetings everyone!
I've been lurking in this site for a little while & thought I'd introduce myself. I enjoy reading all the posts and seeing pictures of quilts you've made. I have been quilting for about 10 years and make mostly quilts/hangings for others as gifts. I wish I had more time to quilt but then again I'm sure we all do.
Looking forward to chatting and posting with you all.
Sue

Is Oregon City close to Portland at all? My son lives in Portland and I'm going to visit him in July. I know of the Pine Needle shop in Lake Oswego. Any good quilt shops in Portland?

We have many good quilt shops. You may want to check out Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe & Mercantile in West Linn (not far from Portland or Lake Oswego) when you come to the area. It is a shop highlighted in the most recent issue of "Quilt Sampler" magazine as a top store in the country.

Hi Ann Clare,
One of my favorite singing groups is from Ireland, The Celtic Tenors. Matthew Gilsenan comes from Co. Meath. Nice to hear from you!

Welcome from St. Paul, Minnesota. I have relatives in Fox Point and Whitefish Bay. I remember going body surfing on Lake Michigan. That was over 50 years ago. I remember as a kid sitting on the curb on Lake Drive waving at people. My cousin and I said "if they wave back they are nice, if not they are rotten."

Lotsa nice people in Milwaukee. Edie

Hi, welcome -- I'm from Menomonee Falls, so I'd thought I'd send you a personal note of welcome. Do I know you from any guilds in the area? I belong to Menomonee Falls Quilters and Tosa Quilters. If you are not a guild member around town and would like to visit (free!), please let me know (both have great monthly educational programs). If you'd like to contact me directly, my email is [email protected].

Blessings on your day!

Your DD moving here and my DD will be in her 4th year of college in Chicago...not fair is it? 2 hours is not so bad. It's kind of fun going to Chicago and visiting DD. My son lives in OR, so could be worse, right?
