I've been hanging out here for a couple weeks trying to figure out everything that is happening here.
A bit about me, I'm a great grandmother, quilted for over 40 years, taught quilting for around 35 of those. Mom to 3 -grandma to 6 - great grandma to 1. (How in the world did that happen so fast?)
Hope I can help some of the new quilters so they don't make all the mistakes I did when I starting quilting. grin. No internet then and only one elderly lady, in my area, even quilted. All I had were some old quilt books from the library. Then quilters newsletter started publishing and its been downhill ever since. grin Look forward to the "mail" every day so I can read what is happening.

Quilters Newsletter--yes that is the one, I subscribed from day one and at their 25th anniversary, anyone who had subscribed from day one AND kept the magazines was asked to take a photo and send it in. We then received notice that we would have lifetime subscriptions. So I still get it --best of all--FREE. I think there were 30 some at the time who qualified and now there are not a lot of us left. They have taken the magazine to a different path than the originals, but still like seeing the quilts.

Hi from Central Oregon!

I recently spent a week in North Platte and can honestly say I've never met nicer people. DH and I were in his OTR truck when he got ill. He spent a week in ICU and I spent the week at the Motel 6. The hospital staff were unbelieveably kind and helpful. We actually started out in Ogalala (SP?) and were transfered to North Platte.

I look forward to seeing your quilts and pics of the babies too! I'm a new quilter and I'm sure your advice will come in handy.

I'm about 1 and 1/2 hours west/north west of Omaha. Go to their quilt shows most every year though.
