Im new on here, of course. I was looking for a rotary cutter put by Eastman, it is a Kaicut 810. I love this rotary cutter but alas, I have worn it out. I have been sewing a long time. I use to make my girls their clothes, but as they got older, I quit sewing for a while. About 15 yrs ago, one of them wanted a red/white & blue quilt for Christmas. I said sure, I spent a fortune on a pattern book, fabric, etc. I drew each template, cut it out by hand, etc. I hated it. I decided if the good Lord let me finish it without destroying it, I would be thankful. Needless it say, I handquilted it, thats what my grandmama did, I thought thats what you do! well guess what I got hooked. I took a few classes bought a bunch of books and here I am. I like the old patterns, have a terrible time with matching colors. But I do it anyway. I could go on for hours but will not. I cant wait to read the post and learn new tips and tricks.

Greetings and welcome from New Hampshire (where I have 8" of snow and it's still October - ugh).
I gave up thinking about "matching colours" many years ago. If you like how fabrics look together - they go together. It's far more important to pay attention to value. |

Hi and welcome from Lowell, MA. Sometimes the trick to matching colors is to pick a focus fabric, then look at the salvege edge - you will notice circles of color, which shows you what colors were used in the fabric. Just pick 2 or 3, or however many you want and you can't go wrong, it's like a recipe. Good luck and have fun.
