I am 75 yrs old and have decided to learn more about quilting. Have done a few really simple ones when a new bride, and did one using my kids old bell bottom cords for my oldest son. but now am looking into things a bit more challenging. Lyman is in Washington state

hi we are almost neighbors. Was looking to see if there were any quilters nearby. How long have u been quilting? I have a friend here in Lyman helping me with ideas and hints . I am always looking for somethingn new to try. smile

not sure if I sent answer to right place here smile just got back from show, is awesome. hit a yard sale where they had fabric for 25 cents a yd. i think every quilter in skagit county was there. Got a box full of fabric for $6.00 and not just little scraps eithr...

That's wonderful, sounds like you found a really good deal. I keep looking but so far no luck at garage sales. Did find some really nice quality scraps at a thrift store. Just small though they are mostly bigger than the crumbs they talk about here. I am having a lot of fun with them.
