Hi from The Woodlands! Have sewn for years mostly primitive snowmen. Last year started doing small quilting projects namely tablerunners using charm squares. Found this site while trying to figure out how to make my seams match better. Then found a great post on half square triangles so had to try that and that was fun. Thank you to all who have posted tips etc. It has been a tremendous help. Now off to find out where to buy bobbins for my Kenmore 19233. If any of you are familiar with The Needle Nest, they are closing so there went my Janome bobbins.
Have a great week! |

Have a great week! If you're looking for bobbins for your Kenmore 19233, you have some choices. I don't know about using bobbins not designated for your machine. However, you can get the proper bobbins at Sears. If you don't have a Sears Store handy, you can order them at Sears on line. Another option is eBay. There are a couple of sewing supply sites on eBay where you can pick up the proper bobbins for your machine. All you have to do is search for "bobbins for a Sears Kenmore 19233 sewing machine" and that should take you to the right site(s). I picked up a whole bunch of bobbins for my Brother machine (which cannot take generic bobbins either) on eBay for a great price. Just a thought. Have a great time with your quilting, and don't forget to post a pretty picture of your latest project when you have one. We're all nosey about things like that (Not!) But we do like pretty pictures of projects to salivate over! And again, welcome aboard! |

Hi there & WELCOME!! From very, very hot & very dry N Texas. Won't it be wonderful when FALL arrives, which usually means cooler temps? We should remember these days when it is very cold in winter. Think we'll have winter temps comparable to these hi ones of summer? Hope & pray not.
This is a wonderful site. I spend wayyyyy 2 much time on it.  |

Hi again -- there are a lot of quilters in The Woodlands! -- and lots of them come to the monthly guild meetings at the Community Center (full parking lot!)(next is Sept 7) -- yes, it is hot, but forecasters are hoping we will have some relief toward the end of the week -- I'm certainly glad that the hurricane didn't come our way, but we need cooler temps and some rain!

Hello and welcome to QB, from western Nevada!
|
I have the same machine and I get my bobbins from Sears. It's a great machine and loves all threads. I think the only negative part of this machine is it doesn't go over alot of layers so easily but other than that it sews great. I took a class last year to make a techinque quilt and learned how to use a lot of the decrotative stitches so I use them more than ever.
