I found this Forum last night via my Mom and am happy to be here.

I live in Bayard, Nebraska (2 hours east of Cheyenne, WY and 3 hours from Fort Collins, CO--our "run away to state"...lol!) and I am an authorized AccuQuilt Dealer, a chapter leader for Quilts for Kids, and a fabric "junkie"!

Waving high and wide from Missouri albeit I hale from the campuses of NJC and CSU so I know your beautiful morning views. I do so miss the open plains! Way too many trees back here--lol. I see you are an AccuQuilt dealer; I placed my order from a shop nearby just last week and can barely wait for it to arrive. I piece and quilt probably six days of the week and the AccuQuilt is going to save a lot on my arthritic hands.

Yes, I am very addicted to this board. On here way more than I should be!! But I've found so many useful tips and great sites to check out. Not to mention all the beautiful quilts and other treasures that these wonderful gals have made. I do have to wonder tho, when do they do their housework and cooking? They get so many quilts made! I live in Falls City, which is in the very southeastern tip of NE. No local quilt shop here so have to travel to get to one, but that's always an excuse to go shopping!! Later. Joyce

Missysgottohelp 11-21-2010 02:21 PM

I know, i'm guilty of not getting things done because I'm on here. Like you I have found so many tips and things that I'm forever just stopping to check and see whats new. Yesterday I ran my printer out of ink just printing patterns that I found on here. We have a quilt shop in Norfolk but I must say that it is way out of my budget. So I mainly get things at Hobby Lobby.

Dorene, I went on a quilt bus trip in Sept. and we went to a shop in Norfolk, I think. After awhile you just forget where you've been! It was a 3 day trip and we left from MO. and hit KS. shops, CO. shops and NE. shops on our way home. Our bus broke down on I-80 and we hobbled on down the road to an abandoned truck stop and waited there 5 hours for another bus to pick us up. So we only went to one more shop that day and came home. On Nov. 14th, we went again and hit the 2 shops we had missed plus a mystery shop and had a ball. Can't remember the name of the shop in Norfolk, but almost sure we went there.
I really need to get off here and get to sewing. You'd think I have a whole year ahead of me before Christmas!! Joyce
