My name is April, and as my names says I am slowly learnly to quilt, I took a class and I so fell in love with it. Have just started a rag quilt for my granddaughter, whose picture you see there. But have some snowball squares done and 9 patches and 4 patches etc. it seems like something else comes up and I can't get to my project. I work fulltime on the weekends, sometimes babysit for my sweet grandson, when he is sick, or needs to go to his Dr. appts, and take my mom to all her appts etc, and do my bible study classes during the week, I have to set aside some quilt time :) . When I was a teenager I use to sew so many of my own clothes, but for some reason I stopped sewing and haven't sewn in over 30 years, sewing that first seam in my quilting class I felt this calmness come over me, it was wonderful. I have been reading all of you for some time and so enjoy all of the info, so i thought it was about time, I settled in and joined.

Hello from Louisiana. My mom taught me to sew at a very young age and when I was a teenager made all my clothes. I didn't sew for years, but I've been making quilts and other quilted projects for the last few years. Actually, making quilts is so much more fun than making clothes in my opinion.
