My husband built me a sunroom, 24'x12' to be my sewing and quilting room along with everything else I love to do.Last summer he got tired of being the only one watching TV in the den and decided to move into my sunroom so he wouldn't be alone.Well, he proceeded to move all of my sewing and everything else out to storage and moved his computer into my sewing room.I then moved my computer in and slowly but surely am moving my things back in.He complains but I don't care, he should have left me alone and just come in to watch TV.It's amazing how we women eventually win.

Good for you
Oooooohhhh you stand your ground girl!
that is so funny, tell him to build another computer room next to your sunroom and you can see each other thru the windows

You got it!!! There is always a way!!!!
Welcome to the board.
Just move him back out. Get him a laptop with a router so he can go anywhere, and give him a chair. That's all the space he needs.

Welcome to the board from Southern California!
LOL!!! I sew in the family room, that is also where the computers are. When I am working in here my husband will come join me. If I need to do some hand sewing of binding or something he will sit next to me in our lazy boys in the living room. I like being in the same room, we can talk and stuff. But...... He knows better than to remove any of my quilting stuff!!!! |
The first thing I would do is set up my sewing machine next to his computer. Then, I would start sewing and bring in a piece of fabric at a time slowly but surely he'll be moving on out.
Welcome from Connecticut!! your love it here |
What was he thinking?? for Pete sake!
You're my kind of woman!!! LOL
Welcome to the board!!!!!!!!!! :D |
Well . . . Indian giver!! I'd move back in too.
How DARE he do that!!!!!
Indian Giver!!!!! Does he Not want to eat????????? lol lol lol lol lol      |
It look like to me that he is defeating his purpose for moving into the sun room in the first place. He did not want to be along while watching TV. So if he move your sewing out, then he is back to watch tv alone again. Move him back to the den because he does not play fair.
My husband moved my sewing room out to the garage so he could have the sun room AND the rest of the house....LOL....he does come out to visit me real often..!!!! He says he's going to put me a bathroom out there next year so I wo't have to come in the house so often !!! Is he trying to tell me something ???? LOL
Too funny! You'll find a way to work it out between the 2 of you! You must be empty nesters! These guys get bored and need to shake things up a little bit for some excitement! Does he have his own hobby?
How funny sounds like my husband. Mine sewing room is downstairs in the basement remodeled into a studio. Not long after, DH came down and changed my tv channel said there was something better on. Sparks went off in my head. I said this is a womans domain and I can make my own decisions on what to watch. Talk about burnt feelings on both sides. Now we can laugh about it but then it.. was infuriating. Working on 42 yrs of marriage, so I guess no permanent damage.
LOL! This has the makings of a sitcom :) Welcome to the board!
Hi! He'll learn

You're right.....He does ALL of that for me and brings my meals out to me if I'm in the middle of a project and don't want to stop....He is the BEST....He knows how much I love sewing and quiltling and art work.....
