My husband built me a sunroom, 24'x12' to be my sewing and quilting room along with everything else I love to do.Last summer he got tired of being the only one watching TV in the den and decided to move into my sunroom so he wouldn't be alone.Well, he proceeded to move all of my sewing and everything else out to storage and moved his computer into my sewing room.I then moved my computer in and slowly but surely am moving my things back in.He complains but I don't care, he should have left me alone and just come in to watch TV.It's amazing how we women eventually win.

Welcome to the board.

JulieR 08-03-2011 02:12 PM

Just move him back out. Get him a laptop with a router so he can go anywhere, and give him a chair. That's all the space he needs.

Hahaha!!! I had to tell my DH, NO COMPUTERS in the sewing room. We have wifi in our house, so he can take his laptop wherever. And it doesn't need to be in my sewing room!! Haha!!

JulieR 08-03-2011 02:33 PM

I missed that this was your second post - welcome from Maryland, USA!!

Now kick him out. ;)

SuziC 08-03-2011 02:36 PM

Welcome to the board from Southern California!

LOL!!! I sew in the family room, that is also where the computers are. When I am working in here my husband will come join me. If I need to do some hand sewing of binding or something he will sit next to me in our lazy boys in the living room. I like being in the same room, we can talk and stuff. But...... He knows better than to remove any of my quilting stuff!!!!

Alex J 08-03-2011 03:05 PM

The first thing I would do is set up my sewing machine next to his computer. Then, I would start sewing and bring in a piece of fabric at a time slowly but surely he'll be moving on out.
Welcome from Connecticut!! your love it here

suebee 08-03-2011 03:11 PM

Indian Giver!!!!!
Does he Not want to eat????????? lol lol lol lol lol

sewmuchmore 08-03-2011 04:27 PM

It look like to me that he is defeating his purpose for moving into the sun room in the first place. He did not want to be along while watching TV. So if he move your sewing out, then he is back to watch tv alone again. Move him back to the den because he does not play fair.

Buzzy Bee 08-03-2011 04:30 PM

My husband moved my sewing room out to the garage so he could have the sun room AND the rest of the house....LOL....he does come out to visit me real often..!!!! He says he's going to put me a bathroom out there next year so I wo't have to come in the house so often !!! Is he trying to tell me something ???? LOL

quilttiludrop 08-03-2011 04:39 PM

Too funny! You'll find a way to work it out between the 2 of you! You must be empty nesters! These guys get bored and need to shake things up a little bit for some excitement! Does he have his own hobby?

skothing 08-03-2011 04:40 PM

How funny sounds like my husband. Mine sewing room is downstairs in the basement remodeled into a studio. Not long after, DH came down and changed my tv channel said there was something better on. Sparks went off in my head. I said this is a womans domain and I can make my own decisions on what to watch. Talk about burnt feelings on both sides. Now we can laugh about it but then it.. was infuriating. Working on 42 yrs of marriage, so I guess no permanent damage.

hannajo 08-03-2011 05:04 PM

LOL! This has the makings of a sitcom :) Welcome to the board!

Buzzy Bee 08-04-2011 04:57 AM

You're right.....He does ALL of that for me and brings my meals out to me if I'm in the middle of a project and don't want to stop....He is the BEST....He knows how much I love sewing and quiltling and art work.....
