Welcome to the Quilting Board.

Do you have a local quilt shop? They'll quite likely offer classes. The classes can give you a lot of knowledge very quickly. For me, seeing someone demonstrate will help me more than reading how to do it. (but as they say in the ads ..."your mileage may vary" )

Hello from PA - anything u need, just ask. There is a lot of talent on this board and a wonderful collection of quilters, some new and some ???? - everyone's all over the place! If u need anything tangible (rotary cutter's, small mats-9 x 12, graphite pencils, chalk pencils, fabric, easy patterns, I have tons of threads - all colors and types, I have a small iron, I have a box of pins that I bought for the box, but don't want the pins...LOL, scissors.....) I think u get the idea. When my sewing room was a mess I purchased multiples of everything, so now I'm giving to people who r starting out and can't buy EVERYTHING at once. just a care package to get u started.
Maybe u want to pick out ure own stuff....that's ok, won't hurt my feelings. Just know the offer is there for any and all!
Just have fun, that's the main thing, even with your goofs - keep them, you'll need them for something one day, trust me!!
Take Care
*quilty hugs*

Hi from NY. My first quilt was made by using Eleanor Burn's log cabin, Quilt in a day book. Good luck and relax.

I apologize. My msg. was supposed to be a pm, but I messed up. However, I do extend this to everyone/anyone who needs items and cannot at this time afford them. My dh was able to make a 5" ruler from some plexi we had and was sent to another member; if anyone finds themselves not able to find one, please let me know and we can make a trade or something. I have been blessed with an abundance and would like to share; so, if anyone would like to pm me, please do!
*quilty hugs to everyone* and have a great day!

Hi there! Welcome from Central GA! This is probably the biggest and best quilting forum on the internet, and I'm not kidding. Everyone here is very friendly and always so willing to help in any way they can. They are a remarkable group of people. If you look through all of the pictures (well, some of the pictures...you'd NEVER make it through all of them!) you'll just be amazed. I am so blessed to have found this great group of people. So glad you have too!
