Hi just saying hi. I have watched my dd have a lot of fun with this group and wanted to join in the fun.
I now live with my daughter (Leota) but was a resident of El Paso Texas for 56 years before moving here to Oklahoma Thankgiving 2008. I use to quilt with my mother during the depression and I still have her singer treadle machine that needs the tensions adjusted. Right now it is in storage as there is not room till my addition is completed and I get my stuff out of storage. It's going to feel like Christmas. I started sewing when my first daughter was born because my mother would not allow us to cut the fabric or sew because of fear that we would ruin it and we didn't have the money to purchase more. My mother made our dresses out of flour sacks. I am looking forward to getting to know this group of quilters. |
Welcome to the board!
