I'm new and overwhelmed

Hi , I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for all the lovely replies to my post of the poppy wall hanging . I'm from the UK and have been quilting for about six years now. I love doing free-motion and applique wall hangings, although I'm working on a bargello quilt at the moment. It's the first one I have ever done and am really pleased with it so far. I think, perhaps, the hardest part is finding twenty different fabrics lol. Two years ago I start making dolls , they are very "quirky " I just can't stop making them.Thankyou for such a warm and friendly welcome. I really appreciate your kind words and will respond to the questions about the poppies.

Welcome from Texas. I have a friend in the UK. We are making the same quilt together. We have shared fabric and are working at our own paces. Hers will have a blue background and mine will have a dark green background. We are loving this adventure.

Thank you for such a warm welcome .I would love to show some of my dolls but wondered whether it would be allowed, as they aren't really connected to quilting.Would I show them in the "pictures" section with the quilts?

Izy 11-10-2011 02:32 AM

Hi Willow, I think it would be best if you posted your dolls in the General Chit-chat section, which covers everything BUT quilting! :D

I can't wait to see them and any other work that you do, your Poppy wall hanging is gorgeous! :D :D :D
