I have just found out about this site so...wow...not sure where to go. I became an "over-the-edge" empassioned quilter during my 2 years living in Malaysia and sitting under an Australian teacher named Jenny Berry. I have never looked back! I started with water-color quilts ....owned my own quilt store and now I am designing patterns, quilts and fabric for Batik Textiles. Yes! I am a batik lover! Have never been able to get enough ! The colors! Now I get to work with them every day! I pass on my passion by teaching "Sewing 101" and then getting my students hooked on color, fabrics and design. Can I say I am having fun? I am blessed to be able to do what I love!

I am in So. California. I love starting with beginers and taking them all the way to color and designing. My favorite classes to teach are the colorwash (watercolor) technique and then the pictures I posted are my color and design class. Its so fun to watch students who did not think they could acomplish anything complete that project and have it be all their own design! thanks for your welcome/hello from Las Vegas. I bet your classes are a lot of fun! :D I guess my passion in quilting is designing the tops & putting them together. I haven't had as much time lately to work on them, but hope to get back to it soon. My little grandkids have been asking for their quilts and a friend is having a baby in Oct that I want to make a baby quilt for ... but ... have to finish nursing school first. The end is in sight too ... end of Sept! Whoo Hoo. Then have to take the exam to become an R.N. which I hope to do by Oct or Nov. So my grandkids quilts will probably end up being for Christmas! LOL :lol:
