Hi! I am new to the forum, and would like to intoduce myself. My name is Marla - and I am from El Paso, TX. I am a self-taught quilter with a smidge of experience. I have little time to quilt, but by August of this year, I will experience the 'empty nest.' I am hoping that quilting will fill (some) hours that I have previously spent at volleyball, basketball, softball games an practices, one-act-play rehearsals, pvernight projects and trips to the mall. :D

Thanks, everyone! This looks to be LOTS of FUN! I am in ABQ, NM this weekend and was fortunate to happen upon QUILTS OLE' - a WONDERFUL shop in Corrales, NM. I was invited to sit in on a FREE 10 Minute Table Runner demonstration. The shop was DELIGHTFUL! A very welcome, HAPPY, happening place! I spent 2 and a half hours there... Looking forward to enjoying this forum!

He is a stray that got in front of my husband's car as a puppy. Thanks to the care of a veteranarian and $623 dollars later, he now belongs to us! His name is Whizzer!

My 7th (and last) will be graduating from high school this June...I'm actually rather looking forward to one less person to pick up after! But the house will certainly be quiet without him. I guess that will just leave me more time for quilting!!!
