Hi, my name is Summer and my granny is teaching me how to sew and quilt. I am 14 and want to learn as much as I can. I may ask questions as my granny (Twinkie) lives an hour and a half away from me.

Welcome to the board from Oklahoma! I think it is wonderful a young lady your age is interested in quilting! My oldest daughter didn't get interested until she was 36 and now is having the time of her life. She calls me constantly to tell me what all she is sewing and the sewing classes she is taking. (She lives in another state) My youngest DD, at almost 30, couldn't care less about sewing.

You go girl!

Welcome to the board, Summer. I have a niece named Summer and she is 14, too. I wish I could get her into quilting. She would rather do barrel racing instead.
