Hi! I just joined. I'm in NC, a FL native who transplanted herself to the mountains. I live in a NEST of quilters and have learned so much from people in my club and taking classes at quilt shops. I secretly think quilting is just an excuse to buy excessive amounts of fabric. The first section here that I hit was the section where quilters here are selling fabric! My other passion is dog rescue. I pull dogs from the local kill shelter and take them to rescues who find them homes via PETFINDER . com.

A quilter after my own heart. That's how we adopted our Rhodesian Ridgeback Rufus - through a person who recognized the breed and transported him for the kill shelter to RR Rescue. I can not say enough about the work these wonderful organizations do.

Welcome from Atlanta! And I'm one of the people who drives dogs to foster homes or rescues after you pull them.....in fact, I drove one from Atlanta to Wrightsville Beach at the end of May.

Excessive amounts of fabric? No Not us.... We only buy enough for one quilt at a time, LOL
Thanks for rescuing pets. That is great! I rescued one my self.
