Hi and welcome from Iowa. This is a gorgeous quilt. Birthing means completing!!
|
Rather than having quilt top, batting, backing, quilting the quilt then put on binding. Birthing is sewing the top (batting) and backing right sides together leaving an opening large to turn the quilt right side out. Stitch the opening closed. Hope this makes sense to you. http://www.quiltingboard.com/search....=true&s=5&s=10 See if this link helps. Welcome from Louisiana:)
