Just new here, Larry Joe
I am a Quilter, but got started collecting old Trestle Sewing machines, fixing them up so they work!!! Most are gummed up or Rusty and stuck!! My Latest appears to be a Trusew, it was stuck and got it cleaned up and Working, but seems to be missing parts on the Top Thred tensioner!! Any information on how it works..

Welcome to the Quilting Board. I have a Singer 340 built in 1955 and a Kenmore 158 built in 1972 and I love both of them. I also have newer Janome sewing and embroidery machines but when I want to straight stitch you can't beat the older Singer. I hope you enjoy the Board. I have learned so much from this web site.

Welcome from South Louisiana. I can't help you with machine questions but there is a strong group of restorer's on this board that probably can.

Some of the National machines can be found at http://needlebar.org/nbwiki/index.ph...uttle_Machines and a couple of threads here on QB about National badged treadles with top leaf tension at https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...a-t310944.html and https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...s-t309297.html We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button. I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" works to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures. Some have had success with clicking on "Go Advanced" and "Manage Attachments." Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. Not affiliated with off-site link(s) |
