Hi -I am just starting out with quilting. and have not made a quilt yet. I made a "Bow Tucks" tote bag recently and quilting was suggested on the pattern, and it made me very nervous to try it. I am interested in your messages regarding making my first quilt and look forward to learning more

Hello and welcome from the UK! Lots of friendly help and support for us newbies on here. Don't be nervous, I'm sure that several of the old hands will be along in a minute to guide and advise.

Hello and Welcome Neighbor :) Are you down in the valley? Im n/e Mesa. Im not sure what you mean regarding "your first quilt". Are you wondering about a beginner pattern? if so I would suggest a 9 patch.

Hello and welcome from SW FL. As for being nervous about starting your first quilt, no need to be. Just dive right in. If you make a mistake, so what? Most of the time it can be undone.

Welcome Kathy! I'm relatively new to quilting (anyone not quilting for over 5 years is a newbie the way I see it), but I also live in Arizona down in Casa Grande.

You'll love this board because the folks here have great knowledge and are really sweet to boot. You'll always find answers to questions and learn, learn, learn. I know I have.

Enjoy quilting and let us know where you're from in Az.

greetings and welcome from Colorado-
my advice: keep the pattern simple and the size lap/baby for the first time out-it all comes together one step at a time-you'll see :-D
