Learning to quilt
Hello Everyone,
my name is Barbara and I am a mother of two young children. Ariel is 4 3/4, she is a fun loving little girl and loves to try crafting with me. My son Ilan will be 3 next month and is a wonderful sweet little boy who was diagnosed w/autism last fall. I only mention this cause it has changed many things in our world and does change the amount of time I have to craft. I know the very basics about quilting. A friend of mine has shown me how but there are many things I have to learn or at least try. Anyway, I am very interested in participating in swaps and seeing and then trying the great ideas here. I am going to have to wait until June when school will be out (I am currently in grad school and I will be done in June!). However I have a quilt to make for my daughter's preschool...that will be a different post. Okay, nice to meet all of you! |

Hi Barbara,
welcome from Ohio. Having children doesn't leave you with a lot of free time, especially if one of them needs more care and attention. But when you are able to spend some time quilting, you'll know how replenishing it can be. I'm glad you've found this site, even though you may not be able to quilt, at least you can browse around here and you may find some inspiration. |
hi and welcome from GA! I too am a mother of small children--4 of them. I homeschool, so not much time for quilting here, either. Good for you that you are crafting with your daughter and caring for your son... you deserve a thumbs up!
