Love this quilting board
 

I have been reading the posts and seeing the pictures of so many lovely quilts for quite some time. Have learned a lot from so many of you. I finally decided to jump in and join. I have been quilting for many years but feel I have so much yet to learn. And this seems to be a good place for learning. I recently bought a new sewing machine so I can do FMQ and have been learning how to do it. Have always hand quilted all my quilts but can't seem to get them done fast enough that way. At 80 years of age I need to work faster or I'll not get all the quilts done that I have in my mind that I want to make.

Elaine, glad you joined! Welcome from Central Texas. Your post made me smile... I believe that even at 80, you're not "old" yet because you're still thinking of things you want to do, quilts you want to make. The people who are old are the ones who think only about what they have already done. Good for you, and please be sure to share pictures of your work!
