I have just finishes my first quilt top. It is the grandmother's flower garden. The layout idea came from a pamphlet I picked up while in Morehead, Ky. I am originally from Nova Scotia and that is where my quilt first got started. My cousin is an excellent quilter and suggested I try my hand at paper piecing as my husband and I travel a lot. I am sending a pic of the quilt I hope. My next task is trying to learn how to hand quilt. So far every stitch has been done by hand and I am really wanting to keep it that way until it is finished. I started this quilt in 2009. I am hoping to have it finished by 2011.

It's beautiful. My first completed quilt top was the same pattern and was all hand done. It took me 3 years to finish because I was working full time then.
