Basting by using pins and basting spray is usually helpful.

I know that the Turning 20 4x4 was on of my first quilts and I burned the pattern when I was finished. I finished mine and it was sewn nicely quilted nicely, but did not like the pattern. I'm sure your quilt is perfect, show us some pictures
