I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother in Law, that must be a very difficult way for you to discover fabric and quilting. Quilters love to drive to destination shops, where are you located? If you haven't already do you or did your MIL belong to any guilds? There are quilt guilds all over and they are a great way to learn about quilting and also spread the word about your store. ;) Good luck to you!

Welcome and how wonderful to be able to continue your mother-in-law's business. It is great to have fabric shops within our small communities. I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information here that will help you greatly so that you're able to pass that on to your customers. I wish you all the best.
