Welcome from Texas! You certainly sound like a survivor!! Your positive attitude and cheerful outlook will bring you peace. Even though my yard and garden are not what they used to be, they still bring me peace and joy. Good Luck with yours!

Welcome from the MidWest! I have a brown thumb but love to see pictures of beautiful gardens. The only flowers I don't ruin are those on quilts.

Enjoy your retirement and grandkids - you've earned it!

Welcome from the Adirondack Mtns of northern NY state. I think you will enjoy it here and find lots of ideas and positive energy. Don't forget to add pictures of some of your creations as you get them done.

Well evidently you got up in and became vertical. Every day you do that you are a survivor because you are alive. I was diagnosed and had my treatments and a lumpectomy. I am not making light of your situation. Each follow up has been good for me. You are a perfectly imperfect human being who's been through a lot! Come on it's traumatic in every sense of the word. What I did when I started feeling a little down was walk outside no matter how bad the weather and look at the celestial ceiling above me. I knew that soon the gray clouds would be moved by the power of the wind and God's breath so I could see the dark sky with those big beautiful stars or I'd see the sun shining in the bright blue sky. Go ahead and stick that chest out and let those children know how proud you are. Enjoy every minute. Learn to laugh at spilled milk and if the house work doesn't get done, don't worry it'll be there next month! I just give it a lick and a promise to do better the next time with my fingers crossed! Enjoy the Quilting Board, it's like an encyclopedia of information. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't worry about deadlines, there's always Wal-Mart and gift cards.
