A big welcome from Co. Sligo, Ann. I have been here nearly a year now - there was another who joined, but I haven't seen any posts from here for a while. I am actually UK born, but have been here almost 10 years, so still a 'blow in'

Hi Ann Clare- Welcome to this fab site! I am dying to visit Ireland some day! I absolutely fell in love with it after reading Frank McCourt's books- always had an Irish thing going on ( British too) even though not a drop of Irish or English blood in me :) But the minute I heard his voice reading I just fell in love with the whole thing. I have all his books on my ipod and must listen at least once or twice a year!! So sorry he's gone but he made such an impact on me, among many others.
Anyway WELCOME :D :D Getting off track here!!!

Welcome Ann Clare from the Fitzgeralds in New Jersey. We've had two wonderful trips to beautiful Ireland. I'm Irish-by-marriage only; my husband's mother liked her name so much she married the same - she was Jane Fitzgerald Fitzgerald.

You'll enjoy this board, you'll learn a lot, there's always something new.
