I have been enjoying reading your messages for quite some time and have actually gone through every single picture on this site to see what other people are doing and get some help and inspiration.

I have only been quilting for about 1.5 years and have never actually finished anything except a baby quilt for a friend in my Bunco group.

I finally decided to join as I have a question. One of the ladies in our locat guild has a All aluminum Inspira Quilting Frame with Pfaff
Grand Quilter Machine, laser beam, speed control
handle, VHS assembly video.
Setup 5’ to 10‘ long. Pantographs, etc.
$2,000.

I really don't have the money right now but I am wondering if I should take advantage of this or not. I live in a small town and we don't have a lot of people who do quilting and I feel they charge a lot for it. Since my sister and I both quilt, would it be worth it for us to purchase this?

I'd vote Yes, if you can afford to. I bought a second-hand Grace Frame and put a Juki on it. I also live out where there are not a lot of quilters. DH priced it out-How many quilts would I have to do to "pay" for the Grace Frame? I think he figured I would have to do 8 or 9 before we added on the Juki machine. I also started about the same time as you and I have just about paid for my machine set-up by doing the quilting myself. And it is very fun!

Hi and welcome from Texas. I'd do it if I could scrape together the money if I were you. Especially if you and your sister can both use it. I'd get one, but my problem is room. I don't have a space big enough to accommodate a longarm and frame.

Welcome from coastal California!!! I have looked at that set-up in the past and seriously considered it! I got a better computerized machine instead, (replacing my 21 yr old Pfaff which was a workhorse that works great and never had to be fixed, I just wanted my options of stitches) . In a couple of years (hopefully sooner) I want to get a mid - long arm machine and frame. My thing is space as well!!
