Can you embroidery? I have to sit in the car sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes and hour. I always keep a plastic bag in the door panel with something small to work on to fill the time. Little things can become a small gift when you need something quickly.

When I was offered the chance to move to Florida I not only packed up my stuff but also packed my Mom's 4 sewing machines and her stash. I had avoided going through her goodies for way too long and am looking forward to having a chance to finish 5 or 6 quilt tops that I found hidden in her sewing room. Only one was hers. The others are either my Great Grandma's work or Mom's step mom's work. All three are gone now so this will be my way to pay tribute to all of them. I promised myself I would finish them before any new projects get started.

For now I will be happy with checking what others are doing and getting ideas for new projects. I really miss not having anyone in the house that is interested in quilting to talk to so felt that this would be a good place to find someone that speaks Quilt.

I am soooooooooo looking forward to getting to know everyone and sharing ideas. I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome too.

Welcome from Oregon. What about some hand work, that might help you get through the next couple months?

This was what I was thinking as well. Maybe some hexies for a GFG? Or even tumbling blocks for a baby quilt?
