Hi! My name is Rhonda. I live in southeast Missouri. I have been a member since earlier this month.
I have been reading all of your wonderful posts, and learning a lot. I am doing hand quilting again,
after recovering from 2 strokes. My left side is weak, but I am so thankful that I can still grip a needle
and sew. I completed my first quilt this last summer. I decreased the pattern by 50%, and did it
as a wall hanging for my kitchen. I find the smaller projects much easier for me right now. I entered
the quilt in our county fair, and won a 2nd place ribbon! I will try to post a picture. I have tried, but no success yet. :o I really appreciate all the great information on this board. Hope to get to know you all

What a cheerful wallhanging! It brings to mind all of the traditional chores that became part of my mother's life when as a young city girl, she married a farmer. Love the images and colours.

Welcome Rhonda. This is a great site for learning new things and getting help. I live in Central Missouri and enjoy quilting, but don't get to do as much as I would like it seems, too many other things get in the way. Sorry to hear of your strokes, but sounds like you are perserving which is great, keep up the good work and great attitude.

Another SHO-ME welcome - this one coming from Lebanon. We live near I-44 and take Hwy 5 one hour south and then take Hyw 60 clear over to Paducah KY to see our DD several times a year - a 5 hour trip through Missouri. Love your quilt and your patience to do it - very good therapy I am sure.
