Hi. My name is Kathy and I've just joined the group. I enjoy making quilts but things seem to get in my way...like life.
:) Right now I'm piecing a quilt for my daughter on my electric machine (a pattern from Fons and Porter book) and I'm piecing a quilt for my husband and myself on my treadle machine (Ohio Star pattern). I enjoy making quilts both ways. I look forward to reading the posts. Kathy |

Hi Kathy, welcome from Spain, glad you decided to join us. Lots of lovely people here to give you help and advice.
I know what you mean when you say life gets in the way of quilting, sometimes, I wish I could just live on fresh air and didnīt need to cook. Elle |
Hi Kathy and welcome from GA. I have never been to WA state before, but one of my favorite authors, Debbie Macomber, is from your area. I feel like I know Port Orchard just from reading her books. You have several great quilt shops in your area.
|
Hey, you could ask your local quilt shop about posting the link to this site at their store. That might help to get you in touch with other quilters in your area.
Do you ever participate in the Shop hops? I haven't had a chance to join in but it seems to me that some of my friends go as far as Sequim for the shop hop. |
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. This is fast becoming one of my favorite sites on the internet. You all are great. :D

Hello Kathy
Welcome from Nottingham, UK. You will love it here all the ladies & gents are so helpful. Tisha |
Hi Shelly,
I've always enjoyed the Grand Coulee area. My husband worked as a firefighter (many, many years ago and before he met me) at the dam and he still has a friend who works there. Great place to live. :) |

Hi kapatt from North Carolina! I grew up in your area, graduated from South Kitsap High and my family all still live there. I hear you are having great September weather.
Welcome! |
Boy, reading where all you Washingtonians live makes me homesick. I was born and raised in WA...Seattle to Soap Lake, Ephrata, Connell, Yakima, Spokane. Now I'm transplanted just across the Columbia.
