Welcome from Anoka! You will love it here!
|
Anoka :-) My older son and his family lived in Andover, then Ramsey, and now Plymouth. I can't remember the name of the author who wrote several stories about Anoka.... One of her stories about Door County, WI is Bittersweet???
Sylvia ----?? In any case, big hugs sent to quilters to and from MN. Love the state. Hope you'll participate on the board. We share and learn so much from each other. Pieces, at least when we practice our hand quilting skills this winter we won't have mosquitoes bothering us! Welcome from God's Country in Michigan's Upper Peninsula :-) |

Is the author LaVyre Spencer? I don't think I spelled her first name correctly, but I remember reading Bittersweet a long time ago.

Pieces --- I asked for and received an Olympia manual typewriter for high school graduation in 1964. Hehehehe
Shemjo --- Yes, it is LaVyre Spencer. Thank you :-) MNQuilter --- WI/MI border along the Menominee River at Iron Mountain-Kingsford. Henry Ford built a large factory here in the 1920's to build wood frames for cars. In the WWII years, the plant made gliders. Area originally settled upon discovery of iron ore in Menominee Range. |
