Good Morning and welcome from the capitol city of Minnesota, St. Paul. It is -14* right now. Have to go grocery shopping in a little bit and don't want to go out there. Thank heaven there is no wind. We are going to be like this until Monday - Oh, Joy!!!!!! Oh, Rapture!!!!!!
I heard on the radio yesterday that Minnesotans have become a breed unto themselves. We gripe about the cold, the wind, the wind chill, the heat, the humidity, the dew point, but just ask us if we would live any place else and we would overwhelmingly say, "No thank you." Enjoy your stay with the Quilting Board. I cannot tell you how much I have learned, the humor, the compassion - you will love it and by George, you will love us. We grow on you! You become dependent on us as we have become dependent on each other for help, caring, joy and sorrow. You cannot imagine how much support one can give and one can receive. Welcome. Edie |

We had watched a show on our PBS channel with Bob Vila (This Old House). So the first thing we did when we got there was to see the house that he and the crew renovated. It was a cracker house in Old Naples. From Boston (where the show originated from) to St. Paul (where we live) to Naples (to where it was renovated). Ain't life grand??????? I learned why they are named cracker houses. Very interesting. Just a story from the Tundra! Hey, I hear Duluth and International Falls has it really cold, like -40*? I was out this AM and it was -15*. The inside of the car in the garage was +2*. Edie |

Hello and welcome from two ex-Minnesotans now living in western Nevada. We think +55F and sunny in late January is a lot nicer than -20. 55 years of that was enough. Stay warm!
