Hi Sandy Gail,
I have been in their shop! I don't go as much as I'd like, it's hard for me to get around very well. They ordered a machine foot for my old machine and I've bought a few patterns and fabrics there. I'm on the south side of town. Have lots of friends in New Bern, used to visit there at least once a week! Thanks

I like something easy & quick. I have been doing baby quilts. I have a pattern called Story Book with nine large blocks. I have just finished 2 Turning 20 tops. I have only been quilting for about 2 years. I want to try free motion quilting and some applique.

That sounds interesting. So you have muslin on the back & stitch the blocks after they are turned? I am going to re-read your instructions. The quilts look great! I am going to have to learn how to load pictures to the computer. Never enough time! I am working on a top now that says it can be done in a day (Ha!HA!). It has 12 blocks with Iris appliqued on them set on point. I have the Iris blocks done except sitiching around them and the other blocks cut. Hope to sew this week end.

Are you going on the Shop Hop next week? I am going with some gals in my quilting guild. I want to do some scrapy quilts. I have all kinds of fabric from sewing and collecting the last 20 so years. I want to do my daughter a dresen plate one for her birthday in June. Not sure what year I will finish. That is why I like quick & easy ones! I need to learn to quilt the tops better.

I'll do step-by-step and take pectures and post them for you. This is a quilt that does take forever depending on tahe size. I have seen it done for pillows and wall hanggings too. Those take only a weekend depending on the size you want.

your quilts are very pretty! Do you make your cathedral windows quilt all by hand then? I have never made one. But yours is so striking I think I might want to .

Everystich by hand. I've worked on this one all last winter and so far most of this on. Only while waiting at Drs,grandkids and where ever I have to sit for a short time.It stays in my truck all the time some I'll have it.
