Hello, I have been quilting since October of last year. My 46 year old cousin passed away on Xmas Eve from a year long battle of lung cancer. We spent the last 3 months of her life having her teach me how to quilt. I then was diagnosed with a nerve disease and the quilting has become my much needed therapy. I hand sew all my quilt tops and I quilt every single day and don't know what my life would be without it!!! I am happy to be here and happy to have a great site to see so many great projects and get some great advice. Happy Quilting!!

I too was introduced to quilting by a friend, who was diagnosed with cancer shortly thereafter. I hope she knows I've kept it up. It was such a special gift from her to me.
