When is The quilt show at the George Brown Convention Center in Houston? I have a friend at work that goes every year and would love to go. With all the encouragement everyone has given me I think I will try a small wall hanging using red and white fabric next. Ive always loved those quilts. I got a pattern from a link someone posted on the forum. This place is the best.

I am new, also. I live in Jamaica Beach, Galveston. My Mother, Grandmothers and Aunts, Sister and several nieces quilt/quilted. I have a large stash, lots of patterns and ideas. I am going to join the local Quilt Guild. That is a good way for you to find other ladies to quilt with. You might want to start there.
