I just found you and signed up right away. I'm from the Ozarks in Missouri and have been quilting for more than 50 years. I learned to quilt from my great-grandmother and have been passionate about making and collecting quilts all my life. Since retiring two years ago I've had at least 4 or 5 quilts in the works at the same time. I love traditional patterns, but also love art quilts and frayed edge flannel quilts, which I love to make for new moms. My husband supports my addiction and he is in the process of converting our garage into a sewing studio. Mostly I think he would like me to move my "collection" out of the house!!!! I'm looking forward to being part of your group.

Welcome from NC. You're lucky to have a place to move your quilting things. I have a shed in my backyard, but it is used for storage and has no electricity. I would love to convert it to a studio though. Maybe someday.... We're glad you're here!

Hello and welcome from WV. Have been to Branson and going back in May. Love to see your beautiful country. Hope to find a quilt shop this trip. I know what you mean about husbands, I think mine gets a little jealous of the time I spend sewing, sometimes. Oh well, he will survive. As I remind him, my sewing machines and stash are my inheritence to him. Hope you enjoy this board as much as I do. Happy Quilting. :-)

Welcome from Wisconsin and sometimes the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This is a great site for tips and encouragement but can take so much of your time that sewing production may drop!
